Hi! I'm starting to work on my battle jacket and I've run into a problem: I'm 155 cm tall, size XS, and my denim jacket is from a second-hand store and has a bigger shoulder size than me, Because of this, my back is wavy, and when I try to pin the backpatch, it sticks out really badly :( What's the best way to deal with this and what's the best way to place the backpatch? Also, can I mix genres on a battle jacket? I'm mostly Russian punk, but I also want a KMFDM backpatch. Will people laugh at me?

one of the single most important things in my opinion is finding the right denim thickness, size and crop it to your preferred fit! i promise everything will not only look better but fit better in the long run. It won't make you look as stocky or broad, the jacket will come out looking like it's made for you. or alternatively you could iron the patch flat on low heat, and pin it down gently starting with the corners. and remember to be very generous with the pins! and don't worry about what others might think, your jacket is YOUR jacket with your taste, your preferences. the purpose of a battlejacket isn't to conform to other peoples taste or views.
