Manowar Achilles: Agony and Ecstasy in Eight Parts

Official vintage Manowar back patch for the piece of bombast incarnate that is Achilles: Agony and Ecstasy in Eight Parts. Unlike the song, which is adventurous but flawed, this back patch design has no flaws. A truly powerful, committedly over the top, design for the kings of pomp and circumstance. After the first four classics, this rounds out the slightly different yet still worthy second phase of the band's trajectory. The Manowar logo is an underrated one I feel, perhaps because it is very understated, while the physicality and colour of the artwork drives home the epic quality of the artwork. The logo is showing a little bit of light fading, and the fabric has softened, but this remains a wonderful testament to almost overwrought machismo and grandeur.
