Roadracer vs Roadrunner label timeline

I know Roadrunner had copyright issues in the US with Warner Bros/Looney Tunes or some such.
I am trying to figure out the timing of the trademark use for labels.

1980: Roadrunner Records formed
10-Dec-1984: Roadracer Records began being used in the US/North America
about 1989? Roadracer stopped being US/North America only and got used worldwide
2006: Roadrunner got bought by Warner Group and wasnt just mainly metal like the earlier years.

If something is 1980-1984 and Roadrunner it could be anywhere worldwide
So if something 1984-1989 and Roadracer its a for the US/NA market
If something is 1984-1989 Roadrunner its from outside the US/North America market
Everything post 1990-2006 can be either label and doesnt tell you which market it was for?

I have some mid-late '80s stuff that has Roadracer vs Roadrunner and some it was sourced from Europe so its been confusing.
Anyone know if this seems right?
