Embroidery

Does anyone have any advice on embroidery? I've made afew small patches but looking at a backpatch piece. Only thing is I'm not sure on how to perfectly copy the design onto fabric to then embroider over. I've attached below an image of what I'm trying to make.
Does anyone have any advice on how I could do this?
