Interesting edition, never seen this before!
It's not in any magazines / catalogues I own or have seen, so no idea about the origin. It comes pretty close to what you call V1, but has clear distinctions.

Yes when I bought it I thought it was going to be a double it was just when I saw them side by side I noticed the subtle differences.
