Iron Maiden patch

I don't know a whole lot about this one either except the fact that it's from the early/mid 80s. I have seen a few other patches done in a style very similar to this one on someone's vest at a festival (South Of Heaven and a Metallica one with Hetfield and the band's logo). The colours are somewhat rubbery so to say, it's hard to explain.Any info would be much appreciated!
