My latest DIY back patch.Made form kangaroo leather with fabric paint highlights.
About 40 hours work all up, to cut the pieces, glue into place and then sew the whole lot together.

I start by drawing the whole design out first on leather and then cut all the individual sections out as a base and the layer on top of those.
That way I know each piece fits in the original drawing.
