very seldom, when being in "the special mood" i go on a nightly walk through a forest or over a graveyard in full armour, with a torch and so on.
when i was younger i did this quite regularly, sometimes even with corpsepaint on.
may sound pretty clichéd and nowadays most of the time i would feel pretty uncomfortable in doing so.
but once or twice a year the old spark still enlightens and this "grown-ups shouldn't do such juvenile things" doesn't matter then.

I got you man. I am getting to be the same way. Will wear band shirts but I want a plain leather jacket to wear when I am not at shows.

may be, but this came piece by piece.
you start with some little spikes here and there and after a while you begin to think where you can add somehing and so on.
a bit like those tattoo-addicts with their body suits.

but you would be surprised how comfortable they still are, even on a longer walk.

Well i would not have even added one single spike, so... ;)
It is just not my look, really. Though i admit it can look quite decent when they are actually put on.

Those are really clean for 20 years old, my boots are in a much worse state after five.

in the 90s they were quite common in black metal and lots of people wore these.
but around the millenium and thereafter you saw less and less of them.
maybe they just weren't cool anymore among BM youngsters?
