The snobs on here who think that only official products count just won't get this. Mostly because they're kids who think they own the subject, which they don't.

Back in the 80s, when printing techniques were rather basic, this is what patches looked like. And as I remeber it, there weren't that many officil backpatches around at the time anyway. I might be wrong, but it seems to me that MASS production of official backpatch began much later. I remember being pleasantly surprised to see an OFFICIAL Somewhere on Tour patch on the merchandising stand at an Iron maiden Hammersmith gig (I bought two). They didn't sell patches much at gigs, or even festivals, as far as I can remeber. So, basically, if you wanted a backpatch, you probably bought a pirate one.

I bought this Ozzy one recently from a guy in Germany. Speak of the Devil was one of the albums tha really got me into metal. Aldridge's drumming on Symptom of the niverse still gives me goosebumps today (amazing drumsound production on this album).

Anyway, I think this patch is absolutely beautiful, so you can stick your 'not official' comments up your Generation Y arses.

Anyway, i'm ready to let this patrch go now, but not for a penny less than I paid for it (U$200).

I hate this "only first presses or original items are the real thing" mentality in the metal scene too! A good looking patch is a good looking patch! Do you think Kreator got one Euro if you bought the Extreme Aggression Patch for 100€ on EBAY! If I like the patch I buy it. It is not important if it is new, old, official or boot!

When i started going to concerts in the mid 80´s i bought both bootlegs shirts or official ones,
the one´s i could afford at that gig, and looked nice. But when it comes to smaller and underground bands i want to support as much as possible, so i try to buy official merch, and vinyls of course : )=
