Pantera 1993 patch (Possible reprint)
Sun, 01/09/2019 - 11:05Can someone confirm if this is a bootleg? I noticed the print cuts off before the border, but I wasnt sure if that was a definite indicator of bootleg.
I compared it to others on this site and none of them have that problem, but a google search turned up several.

Cutting can never be perfect for a whole batch, whether it be the 80s or today. Bloodlikerain has some patches made that didn’t pass quality inspection on his site for cheap. No moron would bootleg this for it’s not that rare. It’s also not known to have been bootlegged. If it has copyright and old weaving style it’s most likely legit. Compare the weaving style of your vintage stuff and new stuff side to side and you’ll get better at telling. Patches today cannot copy old style.

Yeah i was comparing it to some of my other 90s patches and the weaving seems tighter than the others (if that makes sense?). But I agree with kingdomofhannover that's it's probably a reissue. Thanks for the input!

I have got this one and another one wich I bought at EMP back in 94 or 95. The vintage one has got better detailed leafes and also the logos are woven more exactly. Bought your one one year ago at a metal store which normaly sells official stuff just to compare it with my old one. Seems to be a reissue in my opinion.

I think you may be right about the reissue. Bootlegging this patch seems pointless, but it just seemed a little too off to be actual vintage. Thanks for the input!
