A really dark and haunting painting, it really impressed me in the early 90s when I first saw it. It's "Saturn Devouring His Son" by Francisco Goya. From what I read it shows the Titan Cronos eating his son. He was foretold that he would once be overthrown by his own child, so he ate all of them after birth.
