Well, unfortunately i was too slow to catch that auction - but luckily i could trade it with the person who bought it off ebay. This patch is the only one i know of. Do you know for sure taht it's offical? The Dire Straits bootlegs i have seen so far were not that good looking, haha.

Dire straits merch is like the needle in the haystack anyway.
I was thinking about making a cool bootleg patch of them, but dont know if enough other people would be interested

I'm pretty shure that Dire Straits is a band many people would dig to have on their vest! The background pattern of the fabric used for the patch reminds me of the glitter patches like the pink/purple Motörhead patch oder the Led Zeppelin one and i doubt that they were offical. But it doesn't matter anyway haha. They are really great looking and the bandmembers won't see a penny - be it official or not haha.
