I used a fabric paint that doesn´t need any ironing, the brand is called Decoart Sosoft. But being honest is not very good, as in some areas it keeps coming off when rubbed and I must repaint it, just minor details, but boring though.
i have done silk screening myself. I use fabric paint as directed for cloth such as t-shirts
I ALWAYS IRON THE PAINT
its the only way to infuse(cook) the paint into the fabric.
the design will NEVER come off in a million machine washes. If the silk screen print was IRONed
I have never tried screening onto Leather Though i must try to find out.
But i am also a commercial painter and experienced in many many different paints.
i would use Enamel akcrylic paint on leather>
and i am sure Ironing will help a great deal
but don't iron the direct paint
cover your design will a soft cotton sheet and then iron it, while it is protected.
the heat will make the image MORE PERMANENT even if you think it not necessary .... it is necessary . so i strongly suggest ironing.

Awesome! What kind of paint did you use ? I've been to some paint stores but none could tell me what kind of paint I should use.
