Pharmacist Crusty waxed jacket

Heavily waxed work in progress. The studs will eventually cover the back and left shoulders whenever I make time to do it, until then it's looking like this. I'm hunting for the Death Worship shaped backpatches for it if anyone has a good lead on one.

Big fan of your work already. Love the studding, at this point I'm afraid to stud these days so I love admiring other's work that has studs, love the band selection here and the patch placement. What really interests me is the heavy waxing. What did you use to wax? How many layers did you apply? What did you used to melt the wax into the denim?

I ask because I'm going to make another attempt at waxing and I'm all ears for advice!

I used regular unscented beeswax for this one. I would take the block and warm it up a little bit with a heat gun so it spreads and then rub it over one area at a time until it started to build up a thick layer, then used the what gun to melt it into the fabric. The more flexible areas like the elbows and pits only have 4 or so layers (with a final unmelted layer over it) and the static areas like the back have anywhere from 10-20 layers. DM me if you'd like and I can give you some more specifics.
