Description:
I haven't seen it posted anywhere, but any New York City metalheads/hardcore kids/punks may already know about this place, but if you're around the Lower East Side of Manhattan off of Bleecker Steet, Generation Records is a must visit. Great record selection, but a little pricey at times. The basement has an entire section dedicated to shirts and they're pretty nice quality. Ranges from 70s Punk to current brutal death metal and everything in between, with a slight emphasis on some New York hardcore/crossover (what with it being in NYC and all). They also have a rack full of classic movies (plenty of horror movies), but I haven't really checked it out too much. They have a rack full of patches, but from brief glances it looks mainly like punk patches. Already got a Nuclear Assault, Sacred Reich, Judge, and replaced an extremely worn Black Flag shirt there. Shirts from popular bands are around 20, but I've seen some for as low as 15. There's really no reason not to go, its got everything an underground fan would want.
