i mainly refer to the incident not long ago that someone bought it on ebay for 160+ euro

There must definitely be a hype for this patch rigth now, because I remember that the price for this patch was no more than 45-50 euro (in ebay of course). It was always a rare and desired patch but nowhere near a 160 euro pricetag.

I watched that auction as well... even last week a Schizophrenia went for $281 USD. I wonder how many of these buyers cancel their bids after they win vs. how many actually pay those abhorrently high prices.

The problem is, eventually paid or not, these hyped prices make people believe that they actually worth it. So suddenly Sadus becomes a holy grail, and it turns damn hard to trade against.
I managed to get mine reasonably through a local trade, after this auction.

I saw an Iron Maiden Purgatory patch being sold for 130 euros a week ago, but some bidders were not smart at all, because they started bidding way too early.

Yep - I've said that for a long time now and people look at me like I'm weird. Just because one fucking idiot pays a stupid amount of money for something doesn't mean that the same item is now worth that amount. Ive seen it happen to too many patches over the last 5 or so years.
