The only reason it has a bit of a heel is because my short ass can't see over people.

my dear, never get docs. they used to be good because they were made in england with good materials and good quality control. nowadays they're made in china with cheaper material and worse quality control. plus they're more fashionable nowadays so prices have gone up. any other brand but docs, srsly.

both of my pairs are fine quality wise. My black 14 holes that i wear around still look like they just came out of the box(its been about a 1 1/2 years) and my red 10 holes that i wear to work are still in tact and look amazing for all of the thrashing they go through on a daily basis(about 3 years)

i've heard both opinions, tbh. my sis does have a pair of docs and they havent really held up well. but then again, she knows nothing about proper care or maintenance of boots. from what i've heard, the stitching isnt as good quality so the seams arent as waterproof and so on...

Still, at the very least i am very sure you can get a pair of boots of at least equal quality of another brand for way less.
