Iron Maiden Cut off - Work in progress

As the title says - its work in progress. Just got the main central strip down the back finished, now looking for inspiration for the free areas down the left & right sides. Do I keep space between patches or go for a cluttered overlapping style? Bought a large transfer Motorhead patch and hand embroidered over the top of it to give it a more unique personal look. I made the two Five Finger Death Punch patches myself as the band doesn’t sell patches. So overall it’s starting to take shape.

Front has patches on pockets only and the rest is slowly filling up with mainly vintage Motorhead & Iron Maiden pin badges as and when I find them for sale on various websites.

Cut off is a modified repro camo jacket that was 2 sizes too small for me (it shrunk in the wash honest!) First I cut off the arms and then unstitched the sides all the way up to the armpits. I then stitched two panels made up from the sleeves (cuffs removed) and Velcro strips into one edge of the unstitched sides. Lastly I put in eyelets down the open sides and laced them up with 4mm elastic cord and stitched the removed cuffs into the bottom of the sides as tabs.

Cheers dude, I respect that. Went with Camo as 5 Finger Death punch love their military gear and it seemed to fit in with the bands image. Looks better over my leather bikers jacket. Loud Lemmy

Made them myself. Working on the artwork for a few more 5FDP patches at the moment. Currently doing a 5" x 4" white winged skull with a knuckle duster crown on a black background.

I can make um but they ain't cheap due to time taken and having to buy materials in low volume. If had to guess the large one cost me approx £20 to make & the small one £12

Not a fan of Slipknot or 5FDP, but the rest, especially the Motorhead stuff, makes up for it. In fact adding more Motorhead would definately make it better, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah I was mulling the idea of 2 vertical rows of motorhead 4"x4" album cover patches but was also on the look out for some motorhead stuff that was a little out of the ordinary as ebay is full of the same patches.

Dude, that's a serious amount of work and attention to detail gone into this jacket, it looks amazing, wish i had the skills to fix up my old camo, 5 flames.

It is an official "march or die" Motorhead badge bought from the metal hammer site march or die. Have I missed something with advice to take it off.

I have the same pin. Never got into any trouble over it and I frequently go to pubs where 1%er clubs drink. If you ever do get asked by a biker to take it off then its up to you whether you do or not but don't NOT wear something just on the off-chance you might run into an irate 1%er...

If your friend wants some 5FDP ones I will try and get enough interest to run the machine on multiples which is the most econonical way of doing them.
