I'm from the small little Islamic nation of Bahrain, the metal scene here is pretty alive despite what the public thinks. We got some cool little thrash and extreme metal bands here (shoutouts to Necrosin, Motor Militia and Hellionight ♥) I've been listening to Heavy metal and Thrash since Middle School, my uncle introduced me to them when he was bringing in casettes into Saudi before we had spotify or youtube music or spotify. I met some metalheads that I became friends with and they introduced me to all sorts of metal, online friends too. I love bands like Watain, Slayer, and Cannibal Corpse. So far my Battlejacket only contains bands that I've seen and were able to afford the patches, I am a prime believer in only getting patches from concerts you've gone to, this doesn't apply to others but it applies to me. Only here cause I don't fucking like Temu, Shein or any of that mass produced non-sense I saw people wearing at concerts. I want my patches I couldn't afford when I went to the concerts and I want the shirts from my favourite bands that would never step foot into my country because who the fuck knows Bahrain.
We only got one sort of fest in Bahrain and that's Metal Fest, sponsored by US Marines stationed here at the Diggers bar. Wish I could afford to go to Europe for the concerts but that's life.
