BLACK SABBATH "Paranoid" small woven patch, vintage. It comes from a late 70s/circa 1980 deadstock: it's as new. Dimensions: W 7 x H 8 cm.
My theory about it is that it was produced following the re-issue of the Paranoid 7" in 1980 in the UK (Nems Recording/Essex Music BSS101 - B-side: Snowblind), thus adopting the same design and same font for the Black Sabbath logo: http://s.pixogs.com/image/R-1298690-1289992675.jpeg - this font is quite unique in the band's history AFAIK. This would have been a clever move from Nems Recording Corp. in an attempt to exploit their BS licence to the maximum (they released 4 BS records in 1980 only!). It corresponds nicely to the context to which this patch, and another one I had the chance to see, belongs: a late 70s / circa 1980 deadstock.

I can give you like two bucks for it? I can't go any higher than that, I mean I've gotta restore it and it's just gonna sit on my vest for years and years.

Pretty sure that's a reference to Pawn Stars, a popular show about a pawn shop. The owner often says things like this to people that try to sell him things

Thanks guys for the nice discussion about historicity - and thanks for the fair-play MAFF! ;) However, I wouldn't be that radical about your printed version - well at least about this one: http://images.cloud.worthpoint.com/wpimages/images/images1/360/0213/16/3... (I'm a bit more suspicious about the alt. version you have, namely this one: http://images.cloud.worthpoint.com/wpimages/images/images1/360/1112/25/3... )
I think that it could be a cheaper, printed version made later during the 80s. Well, it could also be the case of the second one, but it's harder to source. Legit? Maybe, even though it's less than probable I'd say.
My theory about the original one here above pictured is that it was produced following the re-issue of the Paranoid 7" in 1980 in the UK (Nems Recording/Essex Music BSS101 - B-side: Snowblind), thus adopting the same design and same font for the Black Sabbath logo: http://s.pixogs.com/image/R-1298690-1289992675.jpeg - this font is quite unique in the band's history AFAIK. It's why it looks new MAFF: deadstock with great conditions of conservation.
Gonna add this in the patch description.

Is a great patch, but honestly Ive seen this on eBay a lot, the original woven version, and it always seems to go very cheap, but I ALWAYS miss out on it! Hahah

Well I haven't seen it for a long while now, and I'm not the only one I think! BTW, check your messages!
