You collect cigarettes?

VoodooChild's picture

Yeap. Second one too notice it lol. Someone saw it in an older post too. But yes I do. Since I was 6 cigarettes around the world to be exact.

gizter's picture

i don't think its the second one, but no one else needed to ask about it since in was alrealy awnsered in that older picture. you can't realy miss them in those picutures.

VoodooChild's picture

Nope. Pretty obvious they are.... But they're in the middle of my room. So chances are high they will be on the picture.

gloriousdeath's picture

So that's your new axe !!! Killer guitar man !!! Guess you've been playing it a lot already: has it been a good choise ??? Never played one, so tell me something about it....

Thnx. Yeah it's demonic. I've tuned it down to C because I wanted something else. Sound is really really heavy. It has coilsplit option but I don't like the sound of those btw. The EMG 81 is really heavy and the 89 is nice for clean. But the single coil isn't great... Compared to my fathers strat and tele for example. And the Floyd Rose.... My god tuning that thing is hell..... But the sound is great IMO. It really has alot of low. Even when I had it in standard E. My Gibson has better high end tbh. Pinch harmonics juat sound better for example on the Gibson. But it's a great guitar IMO.

gloriousdeath's picture

Yeah, i hate Floyds... a string-through-body was maybe better, but i guess you get used to it.... so it lives up to it's name !!! C tuning + EMG 81+ Mesa= earthquake hahahaha

VoodooChild's picture

Yeah. It's heavy... And floyd rose is there so I can solo like Kerry king.... First was thinking of standard B tuning or maybe A.... But a friend of my played that... And jt was a bit too much ... In that case you could play bass... Just my opinion. Guitar should stay a guitar. So C is enough. For now.

VoiceOfTheSoul's picture

Nice! Believe I played one in a store a few years back, can't remember how it was unfortunately.

After buying my LTD I don't think I'll mess with a Floyd Rose again though, too much hassle imo.

Thnx! Yeah I hope the day I have to change strings is far from now.... It is a drag I know.... But I just like the sound of it.

VoiceOfTheSoul's picture

It's not that much trouble to change strings once you've done it a couple times, I just don't like being unable to switch tunings whenever I want.

5
VoodooChild's picture

Ah ok. I don't really have that problem. Got this one set up that one end of the Finetuner is C and the other end D so I can switch between each I want. And I got more than one guitar. But to each theyre own I guess.

Plague's picture

I like it.

I'm getting a custom guitar made at the moment but man it's taking for-fucking-everrrrrr!

It's annoying me that it's been about a year since it started being worked on. It's only one man that makes them by hand, and he has a lot of guitars he has to work on at the same time, but still dude I want it badly. It's such a long process.

Nice guitar by the way! I had one with a Floyd Rose once too. I sold it though.

Thnx! personally have no problem with the Floyd Rose. Don't use it that often in the music I make but maybe in the future... Cool that you are gettin your own custom made guitar. Maybe an impolite/rude question but may I ask what you are paying for it? I wonder since Schecter has an Custom made option on theyre website and just for fun I chose all specifics from the guitar I have now wich was roughly 800 euro's (don't know what that's in dollars but I presume 1000 or so?) and the same guitar but out of custom shop was 8000 euro's or so.. Since it was the same everything you payd 7200 for the labor. What kind of guitar will it be btw? Electric? Semi-aucoustic?

LaUlvenDrepe's picture

No dude I don't have a problem with the Floyd Rose either, I just wasn't using it enough so I decided to sell it.

That's odd that it's basically the same guitar but you'd have to pay THAT much more! Woah, that's crazy.

Anyway, I ordered an electric guitar. It's from an American luthier called Neal Moser (he is mostly known for designing a classic model of B.C. Rich guitar and working for them back in the day). He runs Moser Custom Shop. Basically, the way it works is you pick a model templar and go from there. You can tell them what pick-ups to use, how many of them, what head-stock you want, so on and so forth.

I ordered a Wraith model. I made it black and chose a dark trans-red stripe down the middle and made the tuning and volume knobs chrome. Recently though I asked if I could change it to a different version of those same colors and I am still waiting for a response to see if it's not too late for the change.

I basically want the trans red stripe going down the back of the neck, but with the body being a dark trans red sunburst design with about two inches of black on the edges instead of just a stripe. I don't know, I got the idea while watching my favorite DVD (the Arcturus live DVD called Shipwrecked in Oslo). I wanted it to look more unique. I doubt it's not too late though. Either way, both color designs are cool.

This is basically it (only mine would be a six-string). This is also the head stock I chose.

I can't remember exactly how much, but it was like $2,200-something. It was the cheaper option because I used a bolt-on neck rather than a neck-through. It would have cost a lot more if I had used that. But hey... so long as it's well made there shouldn't be too much of a difference in the sustain, right?

That guitar will look sick. I really dig that Wraith model. Not a big fan of 7 strings too. I always think.. When I make music that has so much low (wich I do), will I even use the higher strings? Bolt-on neck shouldn't be a problem if it's a well made guitar (something I expect for that money tbh) it shouldn't affect sustain I think. My fathers American made Fender Telecaster is Bolt-on neck and has great sound. Only problem I have heard alot about is when you would use lowert tunings and you will play in drop A or something. Then Neck trough would be best I think. I play multiple genres and my Schecter for example has neck through since I tuned it down to C cuz it's my Deathcore guitar (I know... I know... but I like it and it's easy to write lol) I have 2 big 'loves' when it comes to creating music, wich is different then listning for me btw. Wich are Death/metalcore and Black Metal. And though my Schecter has more Black Metal looks, the guitar I use for Black Metal is my Gibson les Paul Standard wich surprisingly exactly the right sound for what I want if I play Black Metal.... Never would have expected this myself. But on the other hand Euronymous played an Gibson Les Paul cherry burst so it can be possible ofcourse. Les Paul has that cold vibe to it if you know what I mean. I hope that you will get your guitar as soon as possible btw!

LaUlvenDrepe's picture

Haha, I don't think there isn't a guitar that can't be well suited for black metal. In terms of looks sure, there are, but I think that most of them can work as far as music is concerned.

Anyway, I think I ordered two Lace Drop and Gain pickups.

And to be honest, I'm not much of a 7-string fan myself. To me, there is only one man who can make them sound absolutely badass and unique, and it isn't that fruitcake from Korn...

I'm talking about one of my favorite musicians... Knut Magne Valle from Arcturus.

Hmmm I think I know what you mean about that with the sound since it's more of an view on things and how you make the music that makes it Black Metal then the sound of the music. That's why Black Metal has so many different sounding bands and styles (I don't know how to explain this good in english what I mean btw but somethint like no real borders or guidelines how to do it) in contrast of Deathcore lol. I like to create it but we all know what it sounds like and every Band sounds the same lol. Though for some reason my PRS doesn't do the trick for me in Black Metal sound. Could be because it's yellow and has lovely birds as inlay my brain refuses to recognise any sound that comes out of it as dark or cold.

Nice. What kind of pick-ups did you order btw. Active or Passice?

Listen, I've tried to keep an eye only on these gorgeous guitars but it still asks me about these 43986358356853 number of these cigarettes next to them... :D If that's yours you gotta have lungs made of steel :D orr.. it's kinda other way of collecting ?

5
VoodooChild's picture

Uhmmm it's collecting... and it's much bigger now... BUT! I do smoked most of em myself. I kinda stopped atm (only one pack a week or so) but when I was 13 to 16 I smoked like... 1 1/2 pack a day... Thanx for liking my guitars!!!
