The best Festival in the World -Been there from the 1st year - every year - mostly i got 2 or 3 bands per festival day i HAVE to see cause i follow them already - but besides the fantastic sound and the mindblowing atmosphere in the Amphitheater in Gerlsenirchen it is def. the best festival party of the year - I LOVE IT - only good way to spend the traditional "Pfingst" Weekend in May and see a high quality festival since the historic dynamo open air in eindhoven is dead.....
without doubt ORCHID totally knocked me out - seen them for the 3rd time - but two years ago they just played "nice sweaty shitholes" , ha,ha - now they entered the bigger playgrounds - and OWN IT! - sepultura and d.a.d. nailed it as always - but was missing ssome of my faves - don´t know if it was my meeting with jacky d. to keep me healthy like Lemmy does- but i did not hear 1 song of the thrash masterpiece Beneath The Remains.... -
the king diamond show was breathtaking - very very great headliner!!! historic - while being catched by a heavy metal timemachine i remembered that Andy La Rocque played on one of my fave records - Individual Thought Patterns - i reminded it because the sound really fired my brain - glad to had the chance to see the King my 2nd Time - of course he played some Mercyful Fate Classics as well - loved the music - but the voice - (yes, it is impressing) - is something i can´t take too long...
