Risk: Ratman Shirt

Allllllright, class is in session!
There are 4 different Ratman shirts that have been printed (that are worth searching for) as well as a sweater. For the sake of ease, lets call each one Version A, B, C, D & Sweater

Version A Is this one! Version A has wayyy lighter wings compared to all the other versions. It also has a brighter yellow back print when compared to version B. Take a look at the brown whiskey bottle, the yellow of the eyes & the Ratman “R” shirt. Its a totally different color than version B.

Sweater & Version B share the same print (basically), the colors match. the green in the shorts as well as the hue of the yellow/orange in the backprint. Check my page for the sweater :)

Version C lacks a backprint, & is a bit muddier in the front, i believe it to be a bootleg from the 1990s, see here: https://tshirtslayer.com/tshirt-or-longsleeve/risk-8

Of course, there are other modern bootlegs that have come out, some with & without back prints. But the 4 main ones are the ones ive mentioned above.

Personal anecdote, i dont plan on buying the Metalboärse tee, i only want to buy vintage when it comes to shirts, patches are different. Im
not sure where i stand on the new vinyls that were pressed. Theres a sea of shitty bootlegs for Risk tee’s & for me, that takes away a big part of the hobby & collecting in general. The chase is better than the catch some say… I dont think i agree 100% with that sentiment (i like wearing the shirts, duh!), but i do know that hunting down & doing the research for these prints brings me a lot of joy!

With all that being said, i have but 1 more Risk shirt to get, Version D, its funny because i used to have it, but it’ll come back, like a rat shaped boomerang…

So now onto this one, Version A! I got this through the same seller who sold me my blue Ratman Lives tee & my non chopped up black Hells Animals tour tee. Took awhile from him initially messaging me about it to me actually buying it, but im very glad to finally have this one!

Sleeves, Collar, Bottom Hem are all single stitch

No copyrights, but as i mentioned in my previous post, these Ratman tees never had any copyright. I think they stopped using Siraprint to print shirts or Siraprint stopped using their copyright in mid 1989. Hells animals has one, (Feb 1989), Ratman doesn't. (June 1989) However, only the white Hells Animals tee has a Siraprint copyright… so who really knows 🤷‍♂️
