Got it from doomster71
Thanks again, Carlos!
I think this record is criminally underrated... its an agressive record devoid of folkish melodies... maybe thats why a lot of fans felt satyricon betrayed their roots
One of my favorite albums by them actually. It has a cold and industrial feeling without going too far into the matrix-territory that was all the rage at the time.
Ohhh finally... someone that thinks the same about that album...
Hahaha eventhough i like a lot of matrix black metal albums... ( zyklon- world of worms :))
There are absolutely some decent albums from that era. But the overall aesthetics of the "movement". Felt a bit half baked. I guess digital photo editing and inner-space, psychological sci-fi was novel at the time, but that's all it felt like in retrospect, a fad. And to be honest I'm pretty glad it's over. Who, even back then took a gander at this artwork and thought "Yeah, that looks awesome".
Yeahh i listen to a lot of albums from that era. In fact i think it was a productive era for black metal. But also it got affected image and lyric wise.
I mean remember dodheimsgard painted their faces in blue? Haha
I know which one you're talking about. They go for 100$ on ebay. I wanted to buy another version since i brutalized mine when I was 18 years old. Cut off the sleeves basically. Had no idea it would be vintage. There are reprints but they are not exactly the same.
Same here...but I think I'll just get someone to add sleeves or hem it somehow will see. Yes when I had those shirts back in the day, I though they will just keep on printing them :)

(Although I think that album is enjoyable for what it is, the art-direction evokes indignation to put it nicely.
