Tour shirt from the Rage tour when they opened up for UDO on their "Timebomb" tour i believe.
Got this one directly from Manni himself, forever greatful!
If i remember well, this has to be from the first or the second time Rage came in Greece. Awesome shirt, don't know why i didn't buy any merch from that show!!!
HOLY SHIT! I have never seen this shirt, and Rage is my top band! This rules dude! Hopefully one day, I'll own one too. Such an underrated Rage album, wait a minute, all their 80's and early 90's stuff is underrated! Cheers!
Yes a really underrated band!
My fave era is totally the one when Manni was in the band.
They made one to many songs to be honest, the had some fillers on those albums i think.
Trapped is one of my absolute fave albums of all time.
Cheers
You are right, 1988-1993 was the best era! Were they more popular back then? I like there recent stuff (especially Welcome To The Other Side). My favorite albums are Secrets In A Weird World and Perfect Man. I love their early 90's stuff too. All of their shit is killer (Avenger too)! A couple of years ago I aquired some mp3s of the Avenger demos. There first demo has Peter Burtz (of Steeler fame) singing on it. I want to hear what Manni did with Grave Digger. I still haven't heard those albums. I'm still stuck in the 80's listening to obscure German Heavy Metal!
Actually i think RAGE is "bigger" nowadays then back then as they were like the little brother to Running Wild and Helloween.
Did not really get to that level back then i think.
RAGE did some cool tours back then supporting Running Wild (`90) and UDO (91).
Of the later stuff i really dig "Soundchaser" and "Carved in Stone" really great albums in my opinion.
You must check out "The Grave Digger" (2001) and "Ballads of a Hangman" (`09), two amazing Grave Digger records featuring Manni.
I'm going to check those out. It is sad to me that people don't see them on the same level as Running Wild and Helloween. They are better than them in my opinion and I worship those bands as well. They were definitely ahead of their time and original (Without A Trace DESTROYS!!!). They were more technically proficient and better songwriters compared to Running Wild and Helloween. Its sad that they didn't get the recognition at the time. No one holds a candle to The Missing Link. That album is perfect!
