The music of Nargaroth is good, but the singer told some lies about his band.
(for example it was formed in 1989, but the truth is 1996)

He said he had the idea of Nargaroth in 89, but he didnt start making music until 96.

I have a hard time believing that he had the idea for Nargaroth in 1989. Many people who knew him at the time have confirmed that Kanwulf had never even heard about black metal until only a couple of weeks before his first recordings, and that most of the black metal he had heard up until then was labeled 'shit'.

But hey, he makes some great music.
Just because someone "lies" about their history doesn't make the music shit.

Lying about your bands history does not make the music shit by definition, I agree with that. Though in the case of Nargaroth things are a bit different in my opninion, he just pushed it a little too far. One of the many examples I could give: Kanwulf had covered a song by Azhubham Haani on the Black Metal Ist Krieg album, while only a very short while before he had told anyone who wanted to hear it how shit they were. To me that's about the ultimate display of dishonesty, he only did that cover to get his kvlt credits. There have been some Nargaroth songs I could appreciate to a certain extent, but because of all his shenanigans I will never be able to respect him or the band. But hey, to each his own. I doubt Kanwulf will give a flying fuck about my opinion and neither should anyone else. If other people can look past the lies and genuinely enjoy Nargaroth's work more power to them :)
