I saw them last year at Wacken. Pretty good, but everything about the vocalist seemed so exaggerated. Her body language on stage was so needlessly melodramatic and theatrical. It felt fake to be honest, like she was playing a role.
The music itself translated really well to a live setting though and it was a pretty good "warmup-act" being the last day at the festival and me with a splitting hangover. ^^
Really like the design as well.
Son of a Byss on
They were supporting Deafheaven when I saw them play. What appealed to me was that she was rather quiet on stage, hardly any dramatics, apart from the minimalistic but at times bombastic lighting. Maybe her acting was a difference in venue, since I saw Myrkur in a club rather than open air. I like the fact that she comes across pretty fragile (model and all - not that hot suprisingly) but has a pretty strong dark side reflected in the music and imagery.

Yeah the event was filmed so maybe she was just faithful to her trade with all the posing and pantomiming. It still seemed forced though. Not to jump on the hate train, I do think she's better than people give her credit for. But something about her stage persona just felt artificial.
