Not ALL of my shirts are in good condition as this one shows! Bought at B'ham Odeon gig in 1983, ticket is in the pictures. Well worn & loved shirt. PS. I have added photos of my copy of Bomber, signed by classic line-up, blue vinyl to the end of these pics.
Oh yeah, this one has seen some wear for sure! Fantastic shirt, with one of my favourtie Snaggletooth designs! I think my Dad saw them on this tour and had a blast of a time.
I agree mate thanks. It's a nice colorful version isn't it? I like the 'Another Perfect Day' LP a lot more now than I did then. At the time it was a bit too melodic for me.
This one has seen some action :) !
I totally understand that the Motörheads didn`t really like the album at the time.
But it is truly a great record, a stronger effort than " Iron Fist " if you ask me.
PS The old Odeon in Birmingham it`s a cinema now right ?
I agree, Another Perfect Day is an album that really grows on you. Iron Fist has a few killer tracks but a lot of filler too.
Birmingham Odeon is a cinema only venue now. In the past it was a cinema AND music venue combined, so for concerts - unless you were at the very front were you could stand - you would be sitting in cinema seats. That arrangement used to be pretty common.
Yeah i was at the cinema on a " day off " between some Maiden gigs a few years back .
I remember thinking i kind of entered holy ground but instead of heading stright for a pint ( as always at shows hahaha ) we went for the popcorn hahaha :) .
Ha - a pilgrimage of sorts then? I used to go the bar before gigs at the Odeon and it would always be packed, you'd wait AGES to get a pint and worry about missing the start of the show!
Such a beauty! APD is my favourite Motorhead´s record. I am looking for this shirt but the few ones I see are extremely overpriced. Hope you enjoyed that gig.
Thanks mate! Lots of love for APD these days. I think because it was so different from the previous Motorhead stuff people - including myself - didn't know what to make of it back then. Sounds great to me now! Gig was LOUD as hell! I have mild tinnitus now from all those shows I went to but wouldn't change anything!
