I was on the last of these tourdates. :)

I could hardly finish the new album. But I sort of like this design. The front is a bit busy though. Was it a good show?
They turned from nothing special to absolute shit.

I quite enjoyed Endzeit Metropolis. As you say, it was nothing monumental. But at face value it was a really solid and enjoyable album.
Too bad they got bitten by the hipster-bug. Everything about Starless just reeks of pretense and feeble attempts at marketing themselves as artsy.

Yeah that's all well and good. But it's not a development I personally care for. It feels like they're in that Tom G Warrior-phase when he loathed everything about Hellhammer because of how juvenile he viewed the whole ordeal, but worse. It's like they just changed overnight.
As far as Starless go, I've heard worse. But it really has very few redeeming qualities. Godface is a pretty decent track if I had to mention one of them. It all just comes of as so damn superior and smug. Add to that music that just feels limp and devoid of any type of genuine emotions and you're left with an album that I just can't get into, try as I might.

Well I do not know the people personally (a friend of mine does know most of them since his school years though) and personal development is always a good thing, nothing worse than mediocrity - and You can guess the personal development when You look at the physical improvement the vocalist made. I have the highest of respect for that.
The thing just is: SBU was, for me at least, an absolute Killer, massive album in the vein of their favourite Bands (Deströyer, Gospel, the influence is apparent) and they did that at a very young age (17 - 19 i think). This album was really a small masterpiece and i love it up to date. EM was amazing aswell, same direction, just more sophisticated. But the new album really seems to go in the direction of Bands like Beastmilk, i have the feeling. And it always leaves a strange aftertaste if Bands develop in a direction that is very popular at the moment.
So yeah, i WAS a big Ketzer fan and now watch their changing in style quite sceptical.

Actually they played before Primordial and it was them we went for the show. I listened to Ketzer before and thought it was "ok", but they've put on a really good show and since Primordial only had tank tops in girlie I bought this instead.
