Judas Priest British Steel 30th Anniversary/A Touch of Evil 2009 Tour

There's a really funny story about this shirt. Last summer, Judas Priest was coming to town on this highly anticipated tour. I wanted to go see them, but nobody wanted to go with me and my metalhead friends were out of town, so I was basically shit outta luck and I never got to see them. Meanwhile, my dad and his friend go to see Judas Priest when they're in Detroit. So, my dad comes back a week late and gives me a bootleg tour tee. So I was kinda pissed at him for an hour or so, but I cooled down. Still I wish I could've seen them. Hopefully, next time

Pop Evil does suck. I do buy a lot of the official t-shirts, but some venues charge as high as 45 dollard for a t-shirt. It sucks. I do have an official t-shirt from the Judas Priest Reunion Tour

It seems that wearing a shirt that depicts the logo and cover art of a band does exactly that: it supports and promotes the band. I'd love to buy a Possessed or Holy Terror or Gorguts or Liege Lord shirt from the merch table at a show, but for far too many death/thrash bands - I think you will agree - this is simply not a possibility : )

I buy bootleg stuff, and any band that takes issue with it can fuck off.
I look at it like this: I own close to 2,500 CDs. These people already got my money. In some cases several times over. For instance I've purchased alot of shit on Cassette. Then bought it again on CD a few years over, then broke/lost it and replaced it.
As for non-concert bootleg stuff, it's just filling a void in the market. People want this stuff and the bands are either defunct or aren't marketing themselves properly.
And $40 for a tshirt? I'm not cheap at all but that's ridiculous.
