The original Canadian Eddie ice hockey design.
Maiden re-visited the concept for the Somewhere back in Time tour. But...who gives a puck!
Eddie wears a strip based on Canadian team the Edmonton Oilers, who at the time dominated the Stanley Cup, winning in 84, 85, 87 & 88.
The legendary Wayne Gretzky.
Rod Smallwood on tour 87.
Steve with fan in 88.
Same, I think it's really cool they used a real team, especially one who wrecked everything in their path at the time. Guess you can't blame em for not using the Oilers anymore hahaha
The 999 isn't just to mock 666 either, it's for the player who made it possible to win almost all those cups, #99 Wayne Gretzky. Fucking love this shirt dude, and amazing collection

Ive seen newer tour shirts that have eddie in a generic team Canada jersey. Nobody wants the oilers anymore lol
