When "Chinese Democracy" finally came out in 2008, when you went to Best Buy the main flagship store in Toronto Canada where the album was being sold first day, there was the CD, and a package of the new CD and these t-shirts in a sealed package (like the packaging toy figures come in). I got interviewed on CBC about the new GNR and my hopes for it. I had no idea whatsoever that the shirt's design would be cheaper than even the cuttingest corners punk DIY silk screener. 6-7 years later after maybe 2 dozen wears and washes you can barely recognize its a GNR shirt eh? Greater value for money could have been found in a bootleg shirt. Of course, no back design. Ps It took about 8 times to get a picture that clear that didn't make the shirt unrecognizable. Would be curious if any other fans got burned on this.
