the good old days.... last time i saw them 2 years ago i was disappointed.... not only music-wise... but they acted like a bunch of arrogant rock-stars....
Doesn't Fear Factory only have 2 original members left? Personally, I never got into FF which is weird because I'm into a lot of other old school industrial metal groups (Ministry, Godflesh, White Zombie, Nine Inch Nails).
As I said, never got into them, but I also have mixed feelings about bands continuing with only half the members. For example, the Sepultura thing pisses me off because while Roots was an awful record, everything since hasn't been much better (in my opinion). If anything, Andreas Kisser is just recycling the riffs from Arise and Chaos A.D. Now in Slayer's case, I actually can understand where they're going and here's why...obviously, nobody expected what was going to happen with Jeff. If there was anyone to "replace" him, Gary Holt was the guy to do it. As for Dave Lombardo's issues with the band, I honestly cannot feel sorry for him because this is the fourth time in 30 years he's exited the band due to "financial issues". He left the band after Reign in Blood and the only reason he came back was because his wife made him!!! At least there was one logical person in that marriage. He's an amazing drummer who made bad choices and to me, is just as big of a dick as Kerry. Hell, I've even heard some stuff about Tom that isn't the nicest. I can't speak for myself, but have you met any of the guys in Slayer?
no, never met them in person..... i missed that opportunity.... they headlined a great fest we had here called WΓ’ldrock twice... first time they were here i found out later they had been hanging around at our local biker bar for hours having drinks and fun with everyone there.... anyway, i'm glad i got to see all those bands in their heydays... i understand why they go on and on... bussiness is bussiness; but sometimes i think it would be better to start something new and fresh....
this album i still like ... but the rest of their stuff doesn't really click with me either....it's very impressive live to see how tight they can play... but somehow i don't get into those rhythms.....
