Original first print with the PHD Copyright print.
This was really faded so I re-dyed it with Nitor Back to Black.
I like how it brings the print more vibrant.
I Dont mind the vintage look shirts but this was really, really faded.
Recommended. It's recommended to dye 600g of fabric at a time, so it's just two, three shirts. I always have had the temptation to put more shirts but then the end result can be more grey.... So I've done something like 600g-700g at a time.
Well, what I've done before is basically submerge a shirt in black dye inside a bucket or something like that. You leave it for a while. Then wash the shirt or at least rinse the excess dye off. Sometimes results aren't always the best but either way the print will not be affected in any way by the dye so don't worry about that. If you are nervous I wouls suggest trying on a shirt you care about less.
i would also recommend doing this on Vintage black walmart shirts,if you have any, just for experiment sake:) Dont do it on any hard to find shirts at first.

Kiitoksia. Juu ostin samanlaisen -94 mutta leikkasin siitä jossain vaiheessa hihat pois :D
Nyt vähän harmitti niin piti metsästää toinen kappale hihoilla. Klassikko design. Ainut että tästä on tehty re-printtejä paljon.

I have also tried Dylon Velvet Black but the result was not as good as with Nitor I think... but pretty close.
Not sure can you get Nitor outside scandinavia though...

Does anybody know why the print isn't affected? Not even a slight dull to the white... Crazy!
vkok on
its cotton dye..it can't be absorbed by paint...although there were epic fails when not done properly.

Ahh! That makes sense. Thanks for the info.
