Crazy Rare 1983 Dogs Blood Order Charles Manson Shirt.
*(Lots of info for this one since it’s truly a special shirt!)*
Dogs Blood Rising was originally going to consist of Paul “Bee” Hampshire and David Tibet but never formed the group as since Bee joined the group “Getting The Fear” in the early 80’s. Later David would form the group along with Steven Stapleton and John Murphy that would eventually have the name changed to Current 93. So this is the “first” Current 93 shirt (kinda).
These were printed in 1983 along with other Manson related shirts that were distributed throughout TOPY / and some PTV mail orders (not this one I don’t think). I was told directly by Bee that him and David Tibet has a limited 23 of these made with out David’s signature on the bottom, but then David Tibet went ahead and put the signature at the bottom and had some more made where he sold at a market. Bee as well had designed these along with some of the other Manson shirts released through TOPY.
Single stitch, “D. Tibet ‘83” is initialed on the bottom, this is an inverted color variant which is more unique then the white ones I’ve seen, cool to see only one screen was used!
Got this from a guy in Sweden who was a member of TOPY in the 80s and got other various PTV related stuff from him. Pictured below is various pictures of David Tibet with color variants of the shirt, iconic picture of PTV/ TOPY members donning their Manson related shirts (Bee wearing his Getting The Fear Manson shirt as well), and Bee with his group “Getting The Fear” wearing a Dogs Blood Order and one of the Manson shirts he designed for PTV.
