ah, the re-prints are cool too !!!!!! I also have the 1993 tourversion.... good memories attached to that one... great tour with Blaspemy, Rotting Christ and Immortal...
Wait, You mean this legendary tour ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rc8TuzhqjYw
Wow, i'm jealous and bow to Your experience, Sir. Amazing.
But nevermind , still happy to at least own an ORIGINAL, considering all the boots floating around.
yeah.... but Ancient Rites and Impaled Nazarene weren't on this tour; seems they got added to the line-up for this show only... do you have any info on what date and club this was shot ??? Here you have some footage of the actual gig i was at.... can't find myself back, maybe better too hahaha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnKfAeDQkLQ
As far as i know i am pretty sure it is at the Rose Club in Cologne (Köln), Germany from the 22nd of december 1993.
It seems that back then this music was more... well dangerous i guess? What i mean by that is, it looks pretty violent, something You would not expect from Black Metal Concerts these days.
yeah, that's right... things were a bit more out of control back then !!!! Got some nice memories like first Dark Funeral tour with Magnus Broberg fire-breathing literally into the crowd... or Demonos Sova flashing his cock on stage during the Sabbat gig and getting expelled from Baroeg club haha... but most memorable was the Sadistik Exekution/ Absu/ Impaled Nazarene tour; maybe for all others you can say it's a gimmick.... but Dave Slave is for real !!!!! He really is twisted !!!!
LOL at the Sabbat-incident, haha. Interesting. Can You say something about stage diving, going back to Your memories? I alwas hated (and forever will) this habit and thought this wasn't tolerated back then. But when You look at old Death Metal Shows from the 90s it seems quite normal, aswell as Poging/Moshing. I wondered if this was really the case or if these were expectations. Anyway i still will hate it.
Really! I actually always thought if there is one Individual in the Extreme Metal Scene who i would call twisted, it is ROK from SadEx. Don't know much about Dave Slave, but look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lch2OgvI4qc
I can only talk about 90s, but there was always a lot of stage-diving!! And about the whole Sad X horde: theyre twisted, weird & FUKKED! LOL, in a positive way of course!
Stage diving and crowd-surfing was common practice ... never was my thing as well... i was more the front row banger or into the pit...haha you have send me on a trip into memory lane... here's one more: Waldrock festival 1994...one of my mates crowd-surfing during Obituary gig gets thrown over the barrier... and breaks his nose and arm !! That was pretty nasty.... compared to then, things are a bit dull and boring these days... there's usually more action and energy going on at punk gigs as at metal gigs unfortunately.... i'm an old fat bastard and doing 50h work weeks i rather enjoy my beer nodding my head, but when you're 16 years old you should have a bit violent friendly fun.....
