Bathory "Black Metal" 1st album shirt
This girls and boys is a rare fucker! There are many versions of the 1st album shirt, but i've never seen another one that has Black Metal written underneath it. This is a muscle shirt that has the exact same feel and look as the Under the Sign of the Black Mark one from Hungary. My guess is that they were made around the same time. There is an old photo of ROOT where Big Boss is wearing a shirt like this, so it's definitely from that era. A true BLACK METAL artefact.

Back in the early days as far as I remember Bathory didn't call themselves Black Metal. On The Return & Under the Sign they labeled themselves Death Metal. I don't think the shirt is that old, but it's pretty cool nonetheless!

Der Todesking: Yea I dont think Quorthon could ever really make up his mind about what to call Bathory's style. This shirt however was made by some hungarian maniacs who decided that Bathory was Black metal. Like I wrote in the text there are well known photos of members of Root and Masters Hammer wearing this exact same shirt in photos from the late 1980s, so it sure is from that era.
