I see... i like Morbus Chron but Watain are one of the most overrated bands of all time in my opinion, with the exception being Lawless darkness.
So they played mainly with mainstream Mumbo Jumbo "fun" bands?
I just hope him keep staying with Doom Cult legion and playing music like the first demo. But of course Europe got better market and peoples taste of music can be changing
I totally understand that.
Bölzer are indeed quite popular it seems. Same with Urfaust some years ago. Similar in popularity and in bulkiness when it comes to their music.
Theres always some Bands that get popular and a lot of people hate those new fans suddenly.. See mgla, batsuhka, next comes Cult of Fire.. Mark my words.. Interresting phenomen
Signed with blood. It used to be Kthrss in the past too, but oh well.
I actually do not get the Hype around Batushka. Musically it is quite great but the vocals are way too generic. Nothing too special for me. Inquisition is such a case aswell. Now that they are ar S.o.M.
Anyway i will not turn my back on the bands just because of that, aslong as they do not forget their roots.
Yeah if they produce music i like why not listen to them? People are so strange. But as i've seen myself it all gets clearer when you get older..scenes and other opinions become less/not important.
Hmm, i would agree to that but with restrictions. Authenticity (though i hate that word) and honesty are very important, at least for me. So that is something i always consider when deciding if i will listen to a band (anymore) or not. But this really depends on the individual case.
What do you mean by that? Don't you like Venom or the first three Bathoryy albums which concept Quorthon later considered an outburst of dumb pubertism? I get what you mean but with the sheer amount of bands and ideals it's impossible to take care of that anymore (at least for me). Where do i draw the line with thrash metal? I'am not political and (early) thrash is considered by many people as political music. So what do i do? But again i get what you're talking about. For example: I hate Amon Amarth (and pretty much anything related to vikings) but not even if i would like that kind of music i would listen to because i've read a history book and my girlfriend studied scandinavien studies. So it's very clear that their lyrics are completly fantasy, lies and victimhood to those wo are not completly dumbasses. But this is a different case because there are bands that try to re-write history (like AA) and theres bands who just don't give a fuck and have fun with writing crap (like Venom). And of course you have your authentic bands too. But only focusing on them is really a restriction (at least for me).

Also got everything of him. But do not want to see him live anymore after he came to europe.

Why not? It's a 2-piece.

Just don't want to see him playing together with those bands and most of the materials after the demo sounded weird to me
Into Glory Ride on
What kind of bands?
I dare to disagree, Aura was definitely their best for me. But "weird" is quite the correct term here.
decimator_moe on
Weird was definitely in derogatory sense here that I usually use to describe bands like watain or morbus chron.
