1977 Ted Nugent “Cat Scratch Fever” Tee

Heres a real gem, an original 1977 Ted Nugent Cat Scratch Fever promo tee!!! These were promo shirts made way back in 1977 only available in radio stations in Houston, Texas.

I totally & completely lucked out with this one, a damn near 50 year old tee in this good condition!? Color me impressed… speaking of color, this thing is way more yellow in person, my phone camera weirdly washes out the color when i try to take a picture. I tried to adjust the photo to how it looks in reality but it’s just not the same.

Say whatever you want about The Nuge, but in the 70s, his string of records was undefeated! Every album he laid down hit, until right about 1980, every effort since then has been trying to cash in on that 70s hot streak. Go back even further, The Amboy Dukes was an amazing band & really paved the way for Ted Nugent to be a superstar.

I was fresh out of Cambodia when i first heard The Nuge, picked this shirt up on a whim, & never really realized how rare or insane it is to have such an old shirt in this great condition. I bought it from a Radio Promotor/DJ who ran a radio station in the Houston area back in the 70s. He had this just laying about for 50 years…

Size is a vintage large, so a modern medium with some looseness. Fits great.

I wear this allll the time, its my go to shirt for anything!
