hahaha crazy Uncle Ted.... saw him once at a festival here... he managed to piss off half of the crowd in a pretty short time with his view on things hahaha.... i loved it by the way !!!!!
haha yeah, well talking about rants.... it was about picking sides and being too chickenshit to do so...anyway, for some it was a bit too much hahaha....
XD oh Ted...he really pissed some people off when we saw him. He told the crowd about when he was "a young black boy growing up in the forests of Detroit" and how the tour was called "the Black Power Tour in honor of Trayvon Martin". In case you're not aware who Trayvon Martin is... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trayvon_Martin
Well you see, here in the US of A, it seems Uncle Teddy is in the news every week for something. At that time, George Zimmerman, the guy who shot Trayvon, was acquitted of murder...and the whole country was PISSED...except for Ted. His opinions??? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/04/ted-nugent-trayvon-martin_n_370...
hhmmm seems he plays the devil's advocate here.... if he is trying to bring up the underlying theme/emotion... its hard to say something about these kind of things as an European... i mean the case is pretty clear but i guess there's more going on... social themes i mean...
Well as an American, here's my view on it...I'm from Chicago, murder capital of the world. Kids get killed every single day. Does the media care? No. But there was something about Trayvon that appealed to the media. So they made a big story out of it (like they do out of everything). Turns out the pictures they used were from when he was 12 cuz the pictures of him before he died depicted him holding guns, giving the finger, and gangbanging with his friends. But people still felt bad. Nobody deserves to be killed, but if Trayvon attacked Zimmerman (as claimed), Zimmerman had every right to defend himself...even if it meant life or death.
but i guess its more as a media hype only... yes, they blew up the story; otherwise most people wouldn't even have noticed what had happened.... but once the story was there, people started reacting and it seems to have an very polarizing effect... thats the idea i get, reading quickly some articles as i'm doing now.... hard for me to make my point as i don't know all facts and its a bit hard for me to express myself in a different language... but what i see is that facts and assumptions are hard to tell from another for an outsider like me... what happened and what do diffenrent groups like to believe what happened... damn, Uncle Ted got us discussing some stuff here hahaha
