Something a bit more unusual today.
This is a promotional-only video (VHS) tape from 1991 released by the French company Fotodisk Video, the company that gave us some kick-ass video and laserdisc releases in the late 80s and 90s, particularly from European thrash metal bands.
Sabbat, for example, had their 'The End Of The Beginning' release on this label, capturing their East German gigs in Berlin in March 1990, and it was the first time in those pre-internet days I had a chance to see the band on stage.
This promo tape takes pretty much every metal band ever released by Fotodisk (plus the odd additional one like the Cardiacs) and bungs them on a compendium guaranteed to melt your old VHS player. Some killer tunes on here!
Clearly someone at the label was a secret fan of Sabbat as their name features prominently (and not cut off) on the cover - see last photo!
