*Because of the fact that I have sold most of my very sought-after first press records, I've decided to re-upload some of my favorites (or at least more notable) albums that I still have from when I first started uploading vinyl to this site. I decided to leave the original uploads as they are, for memories. These are some of the records that I still have, but uploaded album by album, for more intricate and detailed shots.*
Official first release of this album on vinyl, by Moonfog, and signed by Fenriz himself! Fucking awesome album and a joy to have in my collection.
500 copies. Comes in gatefold sleeve.
Now FOR SALE! I have in for sale through eGay and Discogs, but you can make me offers and buy it through here, just please try to be quick because I need money to move, otherwise I wouldn't be selling this. I figured what the hell, I could always buy the Peaceville reissue, right? ;)

Impressive. Dude , do you have met Fenriz?
LaUlvenDrepe on
Thanks, but no I haven't actually met him. I bought this from Neseblod, which is a store in Oslo that Fenriz somewhat frequently visits, and sometimes signs stuff for. This is one of those records he signed.

Couldn't agree more!
I haven't listened to this record in a while though, I have to do that soon. Still, I love this album and having it signed by the legend just makes it that much better. I have a lot of respect for Fenriz, he's absolutely one of the most influential musicians to have impacted my life.

Same here, I don't think he has ever made anything that isn't good, though I have heard just a bit of Neptune Towers and Dodheimsgard, but I love everything he has made with Storm, Isengard and Darkthrone, I really enjoyed The Underground Resistance, eventhough it's not black metal, but it's the best album they have made in a long time.

Ehhh, for me it's not so much about having a "perfect" catalog as it is about having so much knowledge about good music, as well as having made some incredible music himself. I mean, the one Darkthrone album I disliked was Plaguewielder, and I've never really given Neptune Towers a chance. Regardless, it's almost incredible that one man can have so many amazing projects and albums under his belt. So many other bands just fall flat after just a few albums, so Fenriz definitely deserves a lot of credit. I also love Storm! I had the Nordavind album on vinyl but sadly I had to sell it a while back, I was broke... had to sell a lot of expensive records.
Anyway, I love Dodheimsgard as well, can't go wrong with their early albums! It's one of those bands that are very creative, and don't like to repeat albums. I like their first three albums a lot.

I didn't either mean that it's about having about perfect catalog, just saying I haven't heard any bad music done by Fenriz (eventhough you can't compare some of their later albums with a masterpiece like A Blaze in the Northern Sky). And yes, his knowledge about good music is amazing, I've heard so much good music through watching his interviews etc. Nordavind is awesome album, it seems that Satyr and Fenriz had quite a "folkish" chapter during that time, you can really hear that on The Shadowthrone also, I think it's the only Satyricon album that really has some really clear folk influences.

I've discovered a ton of bands through Fenriz myself, haha. Through his "band of the week" blog, actually. I haven't checked it in a while though.
