This collection is beyond incredible. It's basically Absu's entire Osmose (as in Osmose Productions for those of you who may not be familiar with that label) body of work released in the form of one-time pressing limited edition box sets (complete with half a dozen outstanding posters and a few really cool stickers) by the Crypt last year. My copies are 649/666 for The Sun of Tiphareth & ...And shineth unto the cold cometh, 260/666 for The third Storm... & In the Eyes..., and 425/666 for Tara. Thank you Osmose!
Adding to favorites because of the sheer amount of effort put into photographing this thing. I'll have to come back when I'm not using my phone for internet, haha. :-)
Alright... wow. You lucky, lucky man. This is the kind of thing to sit down, listen to and absorb for a good few hours while looking through the rest of the boxset. It's gorgeous. I can't really comment on the music since I've never listened to any of it besides the Joldanach EP. Any suggestions on where to go from there?
The Moonsorrow boxset from Blood Music was also absolutely gorgeous. Came with a Tulimyrsky poster but ugh... I can't afford it lol.
Seeing all these boxsets released while I'm still a poor student is painful. How much was the Absu boxset?
Start with The Sun of Tiphareth first, then listen to And shineth unto the cold cometh, then check out The third Storm... and Tara. Then go back to the early years and listen to their Death Metal material; The Temples of Offal and Barathrum V. I. T. R. I. O. L. Just check out the YouTube links I posted!
Each box set costs 70 euros if you buy it directly from Osmose as I did.
Incredible, amazing.... full flames and nothing less... oh, and i would keep the posters with the boxset... keep it complete and in good condition: these are future collectables !!!!!

Thanks! Interesting that you didn't rec their more recent material (Abzu and Abzu as far as I know)... now my interest is piqued haha.

Absu is still a viable band, but I don't think they're quite as good as they used to be. Besides that, I just wanted to focus on their Osmose years.
