no, i have more lp's than cd's .... i'm really a vinyl junkie.... have some 4000 lp's but not only metal; for intance i'm totally crazy for 70's progrock... think i've only 200 cd's or something like that....

That's amazing, man. Nice to see you have a mix, there's definitely more to music than just "metal." I don't think I could ever collect LP's, I'm too much of a picky bastard when it comes to condition. I'm at about 1600 discs and zero LP's. It looks like you have most of what I do on LP. I'll try and get some pics together this week.

you're right about condition.... treated the stuff i bought new very good.... it still amazes me how people can fuck up their stuff with deep scratches on the vinyl etc.....and thats one of the bad things these days with ebay etc.: its not like in a second-hand recordshop where you can inspect the vinyl first ..... anyway, would be cool to see some pics of your stuff; i think you will have an amazing collection with 1600 cd's !!!!

hell yes..its a pain. I had a phase..many years ago, i sold/traded a lot of stuff...and trust me..it hurts like fuck to see many stuff here (or on the net) which have insane high prices now... i regret to sell/trade so many stuff in the past (which means around 10-15 years ago!)

i know exactly what u mean. Some years ago, a friend was asking me: what u think all this stuff is worth?..and i said: no idea. So we started to count all the stuff and made a math: every LP with a middle-price of *** every CD with a middle price of ***. So we just had the BUY-worth of all the stuff.
Along the years..some are nothing 'worth' some are expensive like fuck...so its equal again, at the end.
And i can tell ya...i lost my bearth as i saw the Number... Its something to laugh..and at the same time u could cry..hahahaha ...i stay with 'hahaha'... ;)

you probably will laugh about what i'm going to say now..... but imagine 30/ 35 years from now... if i'm going to make it till that age... most likely i won't listen to extreme metal anymore hahaha..... I see a lot of old folks around me which have problems to get around with the little amount of money they have.... low pension, no indexation/ devaluation etc etc. it's really harrowing: one of the richest countries and yet a lot of people have to rely on food banks.... it's rapidly turning into a society were you have to cope with things independently... if you have money, your fine... if not, your fucked !!! And it will get worse; they're systematically tearing down all social acquirements one by one...... to get back to our collections: it's cool to have all that stuff.... but as the top-collectors we are... it's really serious money invested... money we might need some time in the future for other purposes, if we like it or not !!!!! Unfortutely that's how i look at all that fantastic stuff i've gathered around me too at times......

nope....nothing to laugh about it... - i'm thinking exactly the same like u - since a few years. I'm from Austria...and its the same here - the same situation!! ..so yeah - i have the same things and ideas in mind, like u my friend!
