Ok, so... this one is a special case.
I normally try to upload either stuff that is not on here yet (or is at least seldom seen), and I always try to collect first presses. Darkthrone is one of my favorite bands (along with Arcturus), so you would think I would have gotten the first press of this, one of my favorite of their albums - Under A Funeral Moon. I did have the money, and I did think about it... however, I decided to get the 2002 re-press because I think that this is one of those rare cases when a re-press actually looks better than the first edition. So I saved some money and swallowed my pride. I bought this more than six months ago, I don't remember when.
Only two cases come to mind at the moment when a re-press looks better than the original... this one, and Mayhem's "Deathcrush" on DSP.
But I will not rest until I own at least one version of every Darkthrone LP (except for Plaguewielder, I'll pass)! This I swear. One day I will have them all.

Every time I listen to this album it's as if I were walking through a cemetery at four in the morning or something. That's the imagery it gives off to me. It's really a perfect album in my opinion. It's cold, bleak, devilish, and the fuzz on those guitars is just... UGH! Fucking fantastic.
Yes, all pressings of this album come with the "Taakeferd" lyric inner sleeve. There are minimal differences between this and the first pressing, but I went for this one because that awesome image of Nocturno Culto is zoomed in and just looks much better.
By the way, do you like the newer Darkthrone works or do you just like the old stuff? I'm asking just out of curiosity, I have two more Darkthrone LPs on the way.

What a coincidence! Those are the only two Darkthrone albums that I don't really enjoy.
Goatlord is just a rehearsal tape recorded between Soulside Journey and A Blaze In The Northern Sky (with the vocals added in 1994), thankfully.
And Plaguewielder, while not entirely shitty, is just not all that good.
Everything else I fucking love. But not at first... sometimes certain albums take a while to charm you, and then they grow on you. This was the case with F.O.A.D.
Back when I was just starting to listen to black metal, I discovered the old Darkthrone. One day I bought F.O.A.D. thinking that it was the same thing, more black metal. Well, of course I was wrong, and I hated the vocals (I still liked the instruments). But here we are a lot of years later and that is one of my favorite Darkthrone albums, haha.
How the fuck does THAT happen?!

WHAT?!
Haha, I love that album. I mean come on, it has a song titled Graveyard Slut!
You should give it another chance. The two Darkthrone records on the way are The Cult is Alive and Fuck Off and Die.

Beautiful! But I wonder what makes this "collectors edition"? Does it have something more than a standard vinyl reissue?

Naaah, it's just the first official re-press of the album back in 2002. This was rare in those days since it hadn't been re-pressed since the album was first released in '93. The album photo looks zoomed in and in greater detail, so to me it looks nicer too.
