Darkthrone - Ravishing Grimness (first press) vinyl LP.

A criminally underrated Darkthrone album, I would say. This particular album, in my opinion, features soundscapes from all of Darkthrone’s discography. It has similar sounds to all of the albums that came before this one, and also features some of the sounds that had yet to come (a glance into the future, perhaps?).

Terribly awesome and yet completely ignored by a lot of dildos who say that Darkthrone started sucking after Panzerfaust… fuck that. I doubt SO MANY (I know there are those that genuinely mean that, which is fine) people actually feel that way, they just don’t give it an honest chance for one reason or another.

I don’t want to sound like a dick, or sound as if I can’t handle others’ opinions... I can, I'm just stating what I feel. So I guess we’ll leave it here.

With cold, droning guitar riffs to rot your very soul, this is just as bleak, dark, and misanthropic as any Darkthrone album that came before it. I would say it mostly reminds me of the Total Death album, except with louder, and higher quality production.
