Awesome. I like his solowork. Nothing compared to Maiden but what can compare with Maiden? Have you listned to Harrises Solo album? and Adrian's?

I going to be the devil's advocate here my friend. I love Bruce's solo albums and i believe that especially "Accident of Birth" & "The Chemical Wedding" are way better albums than anything Iron Maiden have put out since the "Seventh Son..." album with the exception of "Brave New World". I wish those two albums could be released under the Iron Maiden brand. Heard both Steve Harris & Adrain Smith's solo albums but they did nothing to me!!!

Personal taste. Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding are nice albums but I personally like the new Maiden albums. Not per se because of sound but it were the first albums of metal I heard and they got me into this music you know... And why I like the old Maiden speaks for itself... that's just awesome... So Personally I can't relate with the Old maiden is better know what I'm saying. Didn't really like Harris and Smith's solowork either... Was enjoyable but that's it... And I hate djent music, so I don't like the guys Adrian was cooperating with...

Everything in music is pure personal, you can't change that. I grew up on old Maiden and for me nothing beats those albums. But after "No Prayer..." i think the albums weren't that good with the exception of "Brave New World" and maybe "Dance of Death".

Yeah staying true too yourself is important. That's why i'm the one of the only Maiden fans I know with A Matter of Life and Death as a favourite. But that's because the artwork of that album is the sole reason I'm a metalhead. It made me who I am today. May sound strange but it's true.

Bruce's own solo work is really awesome stuff! I still need some of the albums. Great collection!

cool collection!! I like the Solo Stuff too, Birth + Chemical are great albums. I dont wanna say: better then any maiden stuff since Seventh son - except Brave new..; like u said ;)
But its good.
For example: No prayer - is a fantastic album! It needs time a bit to grow, at first listen:i was rly disappointed. But hell - give em many rounds on the turntable and its a fucking killer album.

...okok..back to Bruce: I love the Solo Stuff :) A-Birth is my fave :D rly nice stuff my friend :)

Had to comment on the No Prayer... case! For me, the album opened straight up, a great one. I have a feeling it is the most underrated Maiden album (at least Bruce-era).

yeah..indeed. I think the same: the most underrated maiden album with bruce on mic.
(personal: i like it more then Fear of the dark)

Believe me Markus, i gave "No Prayer..." a lot of rounds on the turntable when the album was released back in 1990. Never clicked me. The only thing that puzzles me is why the don't play "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter" live from time to time. After all, it's their only #1 single on the English charts.

meaningless's picture

oh rly? damn..thats sad to hear..haha..its soooo good ;) :)
Why they dont play it more often - i ask my self the same.
And i ask the same about some other tracks.
I love Trooper,..for sure..but hey...they could easylie change a few tracks from time to time..rly :P

SOLO BRUCE is the best SOLO stuff of any Maiden-member.
:D (just to stay inside ur posting..lol)

Hmmm a bit of a boring album indeed.... (for maiden standards that is, it's amazing nonetheless it's maiden dammit) but i do consider bring your daughter... , hooks in you and especially Mother Russia among my favourites.
