AC/DC - Rock or Bust
Scored the new AC/DC album whilst in Australia - Took it with me back home for a listen
(Comes with some silly holographic print on the front)
Well this morning I cracked open the case and had a listen, 3 times from start to finish!
I hadn't bought myself a real physical album for some time (Usually I'm a .FLAC junky on bandcamp) - thought it would be a nice treat
There's some "OK" songs on here but overall the songs are all about the same standout, fairly solid album although to my ear it sounds like all the songs were written with the same song-writing technique (all songs seemed to start out with a diddly on the guitar followed by some 4-5 word lyric that sort of kind of fits).. no super hard hitting power ballads and no songs more than 3.5 minutes, fairly boring format really "rock or 11 songs made to fit the radio"
i guess it's ok... will have another listen in 3-6 months and see what I think, not super impressed so far

Lol well what do you expect? It's AC/DC. They've been releasing the same record under different names since Back in Black haha. Personally, I think it's alright. Gonna pick up the LP version of this sometime, hopefully in the next week or 2.

I'm not super impressed, either. Like I said in a previous post, I had differents feelings about it, when it came out, but it prevailed that it's a good album, classic ac/dc's style, nothing else; I can't wait to see them in Imola/Italy ( in the famous racetrack ), near my town, next july.
