Thanks again, I was a HUGE VOIVOD fan and am still hunting for a few items plus some stuff I had and lost or sold over the years. Let me know if you come across anything.
Wanted to add that I am really glad that I held on to this stuff over the years and it's rewarding to see that there are others out there that sincerely appreciate and cherish these old memories from the Maverick days of Metal.
Yeah it paid off to hoard this stuff, these are relics of a golden age that won't ever come back. Sadly, it doesn't look like metal could ever come back in that form again. Those days had the perfect blend of primitive technology, innovative thinkers, and freshness in the young genre
Here again, I have to agree and emphasize- still
"having access" to this stuff when most of it has been probably lost, forgotten or thrown away is important to me personally and thankfully others as well. Posters/ magazines/ articles were always significant pieces of memorabilia in my opinion but it seems many people discard this stuff as disposable.
I grew up around this stuff thanks to my father and he famously never throws ANYTHING away, including his original LPs from the 70s - 90s. I remember admiring original Deicide, Iron Maiden, Kreator and Voivod posters as a kid, seeing the images of long-haired dudes wielding monstrous guitars and sporting inverted crosses on their necks and thinking, "This is the coolest thing I have ever seen." Left quite the impression on me, to say the least haha.
Now in my early adulthood I've started collecting the stuff that my father had easy access to as a teen and it's a lot harder these days but not impossible thanks to this revival of LP records packaged with posters and liner sheets. Not to mention the accessibility of EVERYTHING with the internet. Turned out to be some "killer technology" after all....
Yea, I was buying it as a kid and now I am buying it again as an old fart and I have to agree- the internet and EBay has created an environment where I have access to sooo much memorabilia that I would have never had access to in the past. And that's now a HUGE problem for my wallet! Back when I was a kid you typically only had access to what was available in your part of the globe so now when I see great stuff from other countries I can't FN' resist.
Well you can give yourself a big pat on the back for the clever comment and 3 of the items, two of which are possibly the rarest on the entire page!!! I am still deeply indebted to you for your amazing and invaluable contributions. I kneel, bow and send praise my most honorable Metal Maniac...
Without a doubt you & invisible-horizons have the best VoiVod collection bar none. Considering their stuff is so rare, you were able to nail this rolodex of historical pages. Somewhere in Dimension Hatross Piggy is smiling at your work.

Very well said, the climate was perfect, the planet's aligned and the circumstances could never be duplicated.

Really great additions here. VoiVod would certainly appreciate your scientific research. Nothing left on the laboratory floor.

A very well spoken compliment my friend- nice to think of Piggy being remembered for his unique talent!
