Nembrionic Hammerdeath-Themes of an occult theory 7''
Superrare 1st press release from this Death Metal band from the Netherlands.Later on the band would continue under the well more known name 'Nembrionic'.
i meant because the middle of the record is removed, which is a usual indication that it has been in a jukebox.
And no kind of value?
There was nothing in my comment that could of been taken as an arsey comment,
and i gave 5 flames?
And the only proof you will find that it is a first pressing is obviously the label on the record, and the Matrix code on the inner rim (or sometimes on the label depending on the record company it is produced through)
older then me? haha..that will be tough my friend :)
But if u have 7".vinyls at home, which are older then, at least, 10 years - u must have exactly this kind of vinyl in ur collection. nearly every old singles, have this 'big' hole in the middle ;)
The middle insert of a 7" record is very easily removed,
all 7" records have a middle insert when pressed from the factory, then someone who has bought it has taken out the middle insert for whatever purposes.
I have 87 7" records dating from 1957 - 2012.
Some of them have the middle removed due to being in a jukebox,
which i see a lot because I collect a lot of Reggae from 1960's - 1970's and quite a proportion of that has been in jukeboxes over time.
So when you tell me that older 7" vinyls all had the middle removed, I completely disagree, some older records have had the middle removed by whoever has owned it in the past,
because jukeboxes used to store 7" records back in the day and the middle had to be removed in order for it to fit properly.
Or the owner has removed the middle for their own personal preference.
I have never seen, known, or heard of 7" records being pressed without the middle piece.
And that was just an example of one of the reasons why the middle was removed.
i can tell ya that a lot of them (back in days) were pressed and released with the big hole in the middle.
I bought a lot of them directly in a store - still factory sealed - with this big hole.
In a time...were Maxi-CDs/Single-CDs doesnt exists :)
But u are right on the point that some have this middle-part, which is removeable. Some are removeable - and can be re-placed back in the middle.
And some are just to break-out but without a function to re-place it in the middle.
silliest idea pressing factory's have ever had.
They must of been removed at the factory or i might have just never came across one, for the records that i have with this hole have been removed manually.
hm..thats serious strange. Maybe there were some differences between country pressings?
This big hole was standart here in Austria. Also every LP Player had a plastic-piece as standart, to play the 7" vinyls.
haha..strange :D
Perhaps, i've not had an Austrian pressed record yet! haha.
I know you can now order 7" 45 rpm with the middle removed,
but thats with a modern pressing company.
It seems the only 7" records i have came across with a large hole seem to be those that have been in jukeboxes, and i know that because of the amount of play and usual scratch marks that are expected.
I just find it odd.
Usually the middle part is removed so they could be played in such environments.
I've had stupid amounts of 7" records with the Middle insert removed (older and newer) because they had been in a jukebox, so that was my first reaction.
Perhaps I was wrong, but 'old' 7" records weren't made without the middle insert, I have records surviving from 1957 that still have the insert.
yeah..i think i have many different kinds in my collection.
i'm sure about 'big hole', 'small hole (like on a 12")', i have triangles in the middle, 1 with a little 'sun' in the middle...
and im sure there are more out there :)
The middle of a 7" record has different shapes and sizes because there is always the option to remove it, because as i have said previously,
jukeboxes used to house 7" records back in the day,
and the middle had to be removed in order for them to fit in.

hihi..what a funny discussion :P seems doyle92 just never saw a rly old 7"-single before, thats all :)

Really?
Considering I'm a vinyl collector and i will most likely have more 7" that are older than you.

Yeah as i said it was my first reaction.
I just found it a little strange that it would be released with the large hole

I know all about the wheels that are used, as i have said i have records with the large hole and i have used the insert before to play them.
doyle92 on
Yes what I said, they must of came from the factory that way
